Wood Street Bloodhounds

Wood Street Bloodhounds - bluegrass

1:15 p.m. on South Stage-Canal
Inspired by the ancient tones of bluegrass, The Wood Street Bloodhounds draw their musical inspiration from musical giants such as Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs and the Stanley Brothers. With Steve Avery on dobro, Jeff Bone on guitar, Bob Becker on mandolin, Tom Boyd on banjo and Brian Buhman on upright bass, the Chicago-based Bloodhounds have played venues from Texas to Illinois over the past decade, delighting appreciative crowds with their musical drive, hot picking and close harmonies. Whether putting their own spin on a Jimmy Martin classic or playing one of their own original tunes, the Hounds tap into the soul of bluegrass for a listening experience that is both high lonesome and high energy!
