DEMAND - blues/rock
1:15 p.m. on East Stage-FMC

DEMAND is Rochester's latest rock sensation, spanning decades of rock and blues. After only two years, DEMAND has already received widespread acclaim for their tight sound and innovative interpretations of classic rock standards. The band continues to expand its reach into other genres of music, successfully bringing a unique sound and style to the well-known. They appear frequently at Rochester's Water Street Music Hall, Montage, and other regional venues, gaining popularity and attention from listeners throughout the upstate NY area. They have won the Battle of the Bands at both Water Street and Fairport Canal Days for two consecutive years, competing against some of Rochester's most accomplished groups. Their broad appeal comes from their intuitive approach to rock, acknowledging its time-honored traditions and meeting its new frontiers. DEMAND also writes original music, featuring that same individual quality and polished ensemble style. Attracting the attention of local producers, Bruce and Armand Schaubroeck, the band has recorded its first CD of original tunes, entitled Purple Squash, with a late summer 2012 release planned at the world-famous House of Guitars. Hoping to not only rock the world but improve it, DEMAND makes frequent appearances at local benefits, lending their talent and dynamic stage-presence to worthy causes. Brian Morrison, lead vocals/guitar; Matt Lowe, vocals/guitar; Alex Boucher, drums; Mark Boucher, bass guitar.
